“Though she be but little, she is fierce”
Never in my life did I ever think I would be quoting Shakespeare to describe a vibrator, but man does this thing deserve it. The We-Vibe Tango is a small bullet vibrator that packs quite the punch. Due to the immense popularity of this gem, I expected great things from this toy, and although I respect its power and recognize its potential for other bodies, it simply isn’t the greatest fit for mine.
The main attraction of the Tango is the high-intensity rumbly vibrations. As a matter of fact, this thing has such strong vibrations (coupled with it’s pinpoint tip) that my clit can barely handle it. I use the Tango on either it’s lowest vibration setting or, once things get a little warmed up, one step up. I’ve also found a pattern on the Tango that works for me: a slow progression from low to high intensity vibration and back again. This, I think, might be the first pattern I’ve found that I enjoy. The only time I turn the Tango to it’s highest setting is when it’s nestled in my strap-on harness. There in its little crotch-hammock it presses against my labia, but because of the many layers of foldy snuggly skin, doesn’t really reach my clit, so I can handle the intensity.
Unfortunately, because of these many cozy labia blankets, I find the Tango a little too small to work well for me. That isn’t to say that I cannot orgasm from it, I very much can and do, but it’s hard to keep in place. It’s difficult to find the “just right” positioning of the Tango on my smallish clit through the layers of labia, especially because my clit needs a buffer of one layer of skin (whether that is the clitoral hood or one of my inner labia folded over) between it and any sort of vibration. This vibrator positioning is made about 20 times more difficult when lube (whether of my own manufacturing or some Sliquid) is involved. I have a feeling that perhaps the We-Vibe Touch would be a better fit for my clit with its broader area stimulation.
I do have some minor complaints about the Tango that, while a bit of a bother, aren’t enough to discourage me from recommending it. First of all, the one button, although it fits in with the design of the toy, gets a bit annoying when I have to pause my masturbation session to scroll through the entire range of settings because my clit is getting more sensitive and needs less power, or got bored of the pattern. I change settings a lot, and it’s a little cumbersome to scroll through all eight settings to find the one I was looking for.
The other minor bothers have to do with charging. The Tango loses battery life quickly, only holding a charge for two hours. I can’t count the number of times this thing has died on me mid-masturbation, and each time has been just as tragic. So, if you choose to purchase the Tango, be sure to be diligent about charging it, and when charging it, make sure it doesn’t disconnect from the charger. It uses a magnet to keep it from falling off and it doesn’t always stay very well.
My anatomy makes me one of the few humans that the We-Vibe Tango hasn’t worked out for, but I still appreciate the powerful vibration intensity. I’d recommend this magically rumbly contraption to lovers of rumbles and pinpoint stimulation, or to use as a bullet vibe in another toy, such as a Tantus vibrating dildo. It’s size makes it easy to hold and fit between bodies during intercourse, and a great discreet travel toy as well. Just don’t forget to charge it.
